A few words from the Captain:

After a knee injury that forced me to miss last season, I am thrilled to return to the court with the team this year as once again we set sights on the National Volleyball League Division 2. Last season was a testament to the team’s collective resilience and dedication, with both new and experienced members stepping up and demonstrating remarkable strength in the face of a tough first half of the season. The team came together over the course of the season, setting on a sprint race to the top of the league with a long streak of back-to-back victories, eventually landing them the 3rd place overall. Our time in the league has been invaluable, presenting us with tough competition and opportunities for growth over the last two years. The team’s unwavering determination and Coach Barnett’s strategic insights and willingness to take risks, overhauling the defence system in use to that point, have propelled us forward, culminating in a season that has set a solid foundation for future success. As I rejoin the squad, my focus is on contributing fully to our continued progress, leveraging the lessons learned, and aiming for an even higher placement next year. I am eager to bring my renewed energy and commitment to the upcoming challenges and to push the team towards new heights.
