On 26 March we ventured to Coventry for our last game of the season. Knowing a win would secure Division 2 for next season, we started with purpose, and comfortably moved into a 2 set lead. The 3rd set saw Riga put up a good fight and pipped us to the line. The change of ends reset the team, and we took the 4th set with total dominance across the net.

"It's official! We have secured National League Division 2 Volleyball for next season. It has been a pleasure coaching this team, and they deserve to be playing at this level. I can see so much potential in everyone that will allow us to build on this year and challenge for better things next season. What a team - Ruth Torchbearer Gillett, Lidia Aleksandrovna, Nica Bolotovici, Indrė Stankevičiūtė, Lisa Wendt, Francesca Cardilli, Dominika Stachyra, Tracy Louise Newton, Agnieszka Izydorczyk, Kasia Jeziorska, Viktorija Žiedelytė. Behind every team there are also other people who contribute, so thank to our squad players - Simona Mahera, Wiktoria Anna Magdalena, Karina Konerberger, Anjela XHair, Rika Rehe, Natalie Short, Nanci Martins, Oge Anabaraonye. Of course, thank you to Trystan Barnett and Wojciech Bulatek for all your help at training sessions. Last but not least, thank you to Northampton Volleyball Club, for all their support throughout the season. How could I forget my lovely wife Louise Barnett, for letting me devote so much time to a sport that means so much to me!"
