What a (local league men's) game!

Northampton men beat Milton Keynes 3-2 in a hard fought game. Northampton took and early lead 25-7, 25-15 but then MK began the fight back. They took the next 2 sets 17-25, 23-25. So it went to a 5th set. The lead changed about 4 times. Trailing 12-13 but fighting back, an MK time-out couldn’t disrupt Andrei Gajona’s fine serving, Northampton took the decider 15-12.

There were a number of first starts for Northampton. Welcome Michael, Andrei, Andrei and Ion. A well deserved MVP for Michael Hunter playing a fantastic game at middle despite it his first outing at that position.

A nail biting game, but great to watch the rallies and the determination.
